No Gimmicks, Just Supply and Resilience
Did you ever stay up a little too late at night with the television on and catch one of those fast-paced attorney commercials that made you question if you are healthy and safe? You know, the ones where the guy in the cheap suit yells at you, asking, "Have you brushed your teeth in the last eight months? Do you own a car?" and then they tell you about how you should get in touch with them right away if you had one of those qualifiers.
It's called casting a wide net using pain points. The messaging engages you because it's something you experienced and makes you want to investigate it further.
And listen, we know that after a while, sales pitches can all sound that way - too broad - and in this blog we don't want to come off like our attorney friend above.
BUT if we did have to make a commercial in that style (I mean, heck, maybe we will one day) - some of the pain points we would include in our message would be:
- HAS YOUR BUSINESS BEEN CUT OFF FROM VENDORS DUE TO A LACK OF SUPPLY?
- HAVE YOUR LEAD TIMES BEEN PUSHED OUT TO BE 2-5x WHAT THEY NORMALLY ARE?
- HAS YOUR BUSINESS BEEN TOLD - DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY - THAT YOU AREN'T A PRIORITY COMPARED TO OTHER CUSTOMERS?
- HAVE YOUR ORDERS BEEN OUTRIGHT CANCELED?
So, what is the difference between the guy in the cheap suit and your friends at Patriot Converting? We have heard all of these above pain points from our REAL clients over the last two years and KNOW they are still ongoing in most industries, including yours. These questions aren't hypothetical or "have you held a piece of paper in the last two years?" exaggerations to scare you.
